My teenage niece and I stopped here last night based on a friend's recommendation. We had planned to go to our usual tried-and-true fish restaurant in Lee. But I've lived in the area for years and never knew that Race Brook lodge had a restaurant and wanted to check it out. My, what a treasure this restaurant is. Very rustic with eclectic décor that is both homey and welcoming. The service staff, Molly and Tess, matched the atmosphere, wanting us to feel at home from the moment we stepped in, encouraging us to sit wherever we wanted - which was in front of the fire even though the table there was a bit small for dinner. They were fine with it! The menu was limited but well crafted with delicious choices for omnivores (my niece) and vegetarians (me) alike. My niece was delighted they had salmon as it's her favorite dish -- she said it was the best she ever tasted. My dish was a very tasty risotto appetizer, which actually was an entrée portion. We both loved our starter -- field greens with goat cheese, pecans, and cherries. My niece remarked that although she still liked the other restaurant if we were in a rush, she preferred this one as it wasn't about moving customers in and out in a hurry, and the food was prepared just for us. The ambiance and service made for a much more "special" experience. Really, every little thing about the evening was perfect. Our compliments to everyone at the Stagecoach Tavern for bringing us such warmth on a raw, rainy March evening!

Like eating in the woods with a rustic view and great food

Always loved this place, bee coming here since the early 70s. Sure it has changed, some good some bad but still a unique place.

I've never written a Google Review before, but I felt I had to because my fiance and I had such a fantastic meal here. We both agreed we couldn't remember the last time we had a better meal. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!

The dining room and club downstairs are truly special places; cozy New England at its best.
